Matrice Parma is a project that represents a cultural and tourist promotion and enhancement tool for Parma Capital of Culture 2020 + 21 and that in the immediate future can become the basis on which to set up new development and promotion actions for the territory, such as a possible candidacy of the historic city center as a Unesco World Heritage Site.
The initiative aims to create a partnership between public and private entities to create and strengthen the city's digital reception system.
The goal is to create a widespread digital museum of Parma and its territory, telling its heritage, history, characters and traditions, creating a sort of "cultural matrix", which generates an integrated and sophisticated storytelling, structured in multiple levels and layers.
A narration of an “other Parma”, a city less explored and known until today, which by intersecting skills, contents, digital and traditional communication tools, restores the memory and value of its cultural and social heritage to the community.
A true digital "archeology", which with the application of artificial intelligence will go beyond the very concept of path, adapting to people's tastes and preferences. A re-enactment of the city / territory, of its social and historical memory that, by contaminating skills and knowledge, leads to the creation of a smart, widespread and participatory cultural network.
