Pasir Emas is one of the villages located in Batang Tuaka Subdistrict which has an area of 40,300 Ha with a total population of 1,309 people in Pasir Emas consisting of 698 men and 611 women with a total of 276 households. While the number of Poor Families (Gakin) 221 households with a percentage of 41.31% The purpose of this village is not the village that has its Golden Sand, even in the form of a name given by the local community, so it is called the Golden Sand Village.
The Pasir Emas community has a variety of tribes in it, there are Malays, Bugis, Batak, Javanese, Palembang, Banjarmasin, and who live on average in the Pasir Emas Village, but they remain harmonious in maintaining the integrity of their villages.
The village is located at the northern end of Gas District which is directly adjacent to Kuala Sebatu Village, which is a new village resulting from the division of Kuala Sebatu Village, Batang Tuaka District, Indragiri Hilir Regency in 2012.
Starting from the desire of the people who want to get government services that are closer, more effective and more efficient, in 2009 a village splitting committee was formed and in 2012 an official golden sand village was blossomed from Kuala Sebatu Village, Batang Tuaka District, Indragiri Hilir District
By going through various things or the process of pemekaran that is in accordance with applicable law, starting from determining the name of the village, division of territory, division of village wealth, and so forth. Finally in October 2012 the Golden Sand officially became a Village in accordance with Regional Regulation No. 15 of 2007 concerning the Formation of new Villages resulting from the Division of Villages in Indragiri Hilir Regency.
