2024-07-06 00:00:00 The Iqro' book is a textbook used by Muslim communities in several countries to learn to read Arabic letters and pronounce the language. This Iqro was compiled by As'ad Humam together with "Team Tadarus AMM". Published in the early 1990s, Iqro was intended as an initial stepping stone to being able to read the Koran in its original language as well as skills in reading the Koran. Iqra is usually studied by children from kindergarten to early elementary school, and is often used in special schools for Al-Qur'an reading, Islamic boarding schools, surau, and home schools (homeschooling) for religious education.
