Organise machinery communities and keep track of all your machines
With just one look at your smartphone, you have all machinery groups of your farm under control! Which machines are in use right now and where? Can I still get the machine tonight for a short-notice job tomorrow? Where is the machine located? Is it currently down for maintenance? The newly developed app Maschinenplaner from the Austrian-German startup smarterhof answers these and many more questions.
The free app meets today’s demand for more transparency and flexibility in machinery groups – for both usage and reservations. Whether at 5:00 a.m., 12:00 noon, or 9:00 p.m. – reservations can be booked anytime, without relying on the machine manager’s availability.
Farms can create and manage their machinery groups together with other farms. Multiple users per farm, e.g. father and son, manager and operators, can join and be added to the shared group.
The developer duo – Christian Karrer from Lower Austria (AT), a farmer, member of 12 machine groups, long-time agricultural machinery sales manager and now teacher at an agricultural school, and Frederic Schmaljohann from Hamburg (DE), a trained IT software developer with a strong passion for farming – created the app out of their own need and are now making it available to progressive farms everywhere.
“The app delivers real value for farms of all sizes and makes sense from the very first shared machine – whether it’s a round baler, a forwarding trailer, a Cambridge roller, or even just a moisture meter,” say Karrer and Schmaljohann. “We plan to expand the app with features such as hour tracking, cash book, and more!” Already included is the service tool, where maintenance tasks or damages can be recorded – complete with photos.
