2024-09-30 00:00:00 Lisnen's Crowdsourcing Sounds app is a global audio data collection app to assist many people with hearing loss gain awareness of their environment. Many people with hearing loss experience barriers to hearing sound that they need to respond to immediately. In the case of emergency sounds, like fire or security alarms, those sounds, if not heard, is a matter of life and death. In addition, laws and regulations around the world are limited to helping people who are Deaf and hard of hearing in certain places and spaces. The Lisnen Sounds app collects many emergency sounds or sounds that seek one's attention. The goal is to build robust artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms with crowdsourcing data to better predict environmental sounds worldwide.
