About VISIT COVARRUBIAS AND CHURCH

OFFICIAL GUIDE for the VISIT to the Ex-Collegiate Museum of COVARRUBIAS

Welcome to the EX-COLLEGIATE MUSEUM OF COVARRUBIAS, today the Church of Saints Cosmas and Damian.

The Ex-Collegiate Museum of San Cosme y San Damián is a Gothic building with three naves of elegant proportions and a Latin cross floor plan. Inside, you’ll find magnificent works of art, beautiful altarpieces, and remarkable tombs—especially that of Fernán González, the first Count of Castile.

In its 16th-century cloister stands the impressive museum, which houses the famous Triptych of the Epiphany. Flemish artworks and religious silverware from the parish and the nearby church of Santo Tomás are also on display.
