Grafco Color Reader is a mobile application that, when connected to the Data Color Reader PRO, can determine the color information of the object we are analyzing.
The Grafco Color Reader app, which can be installed on Android devices, allows for interfacing with the Data Color Reader PRO.
With the app, it is possible to capture the color on which the reader is placed and obtain all the information about it (Lab, RGB, LCH, CMYK).
Starting from the captured color, it is possible to identify the three best matches among the most common color folders (Pantone® C, Pantone® TPG, Coloro LookBook). The app will then provide the colors with the ΔE that deviates the least from the captured color.
Once the closest matching color is selected, it is possible to get information about it and, if desired, view the Grafco formula for its production (after specifying the product and thread count). The formula is retrieved from the Grafco website, so formulas are available for colors in the reserved Grafco area.
The app includes a section called "Palette" where personal colors can be saved and organized into folders. This allows for the categorization of personal colors and facilitates the use of the CQ (Quality Control) function.
The "quality control" function is designed to be as quick and intuitive as possible. After selecting our personal reference color, we can check the color difference between prints. We will have detailed ΔE values and, more specifically, ΔL, Δa, and Δb values for print-to-print differences.
Among the settings, it is possible to include a more professional working experience by enabling the "Average measurements in CQ" mode. This mode involves taking multiple measurements of the same print, resulting in more accurate data regarding the color being captured.
We consider it essential to be able to share formulas and/or information about certain colors electronically. For this reason, we have included in the app the ability to share these via WhatsApp, email, and any other form of sharing.
