Just like a physical wallet in which you carry your ID cards, you can use the esatus Wallet App to gather credentials from public issuers like companies or agencies. Then, services can ask you to reveal parts of your credentials - which are called claims - to let you sign on to these services, just like a gatekeeper might ask you to show them your ID before granting access, or to check if you are qualified for a specific activity. The app will use at least one individual connection with a unique decentralized identifier (DID) while communicating with each different agent in a network so that your online activity cannot be tracked. After revealing claims your counterpart can verify the identity of the issuer of the credential, the validity of the credential (i.e. that it is has not been revoked by the issuer) and that the content is trustworthy.
