Conversationalist enables a speech-to-speech conversation with very inexpensive, artificial intelligence called Chat GPT 3.5. Written and verbal translation into Hindi, Chinese, Hebrew, German, etc.
A written transcript of the conversation is shown on the screen. It can be saved, and recalled later in order to continue the conversation.
This app is capable of translating into several languages, such as Chinese, Hindi, German and Hebrew.
The app can be put in "convo" mode in which the app prompts the User automatically at adjustable intervals.
Chat GPT 3.5 is very inexpensive to use, often just pennies per month. To use this app, the user first creates an account on openai.com, obtains a secret API key, and pastes the key into Conversationalist.
Using the Options menu, the User can select Chat GPT 4. Be aware that Chat GPT 4 costs about thirty times (30 X) more than GPT 3.5.
This app has been tested by the developer on these devices: Pixel 4a/5g, Pixel 6, Tab S6, Tab S7 and Acer Chromebook.

AndWaves does not collect any of the transcript content, neither the User's questions, nor the AI's answers.
The User may, at their discretion, store and retrieve a conversation locally (on their device and not in the cloud). These data, along with the secret key, are removed when the Conversationalist app is uninstalled.
Of necessity the artificial intelligence must have access to your questions so it can provide answers to you. This means that the third party that provides the artificial intelligence service could access your data. For ChatGPT 3.5 and 4.0, the third party is openai.com.
