Club Olimpia is a sports entity based in the city of Asunción, Paraguay. Encourages the practice of various sports. It was founded on July 25, 1902 by a group of young Paraguayans. The name comes from the idea of the main founding member, William Paats, a Dutchman living in Paraguay at the end of the 19th century, who is considered the father of Paraguayan soccer for having introduced and encouraged the practice of this sport in the country.
