It always shows you the current ship position - so you can follow the journey in real time on the map. Interesting highlights and special features are displayed along the route. There is also information about the ports that the mail ship calls at en route. The app also provides other interesting information, e.g. deck plans of the ships, tips, links and, as a special feature, the latest weather information and northern lights forecast for your current location. The mail boat app can be used on all mail boats – on ships operated by the Hurtigruten shipping company as well as on ships operated by the Havila-Kystruten / Havila-Voyages shipping company.
