Using a special archive of webcam addresses in North-West Italy, the app allows you to view the images captured by them in a very fast and effective way, adding to the image itself some info about the date on which these images were taken . It also displays web pages (always representing webcams) where videos may be present. The archive is kept up-to-date by the L'Alpinista Virtuale website. from version 2.2.0 onwards an alternative archive of webcams chosen and selected by the user is also managed. However, the latest version of the app only works correctly with Android 6 and higher. It also allows you to view a map of where both the individual webcam and all connected webcams are located. Other sections of the app consider useful material for ski mountaineering (tables, links to sites, various documentation, etc.). The app can be used by all those who practice outdoor sports, not just ski touring. All traffic sent is managed with the secure HTTPS protocol.
